How do I submit a report?

At Talk to Shaz, we are committed to creating a safe-user experience, therefore reports can be made easily via the chat page. Once a report has been submitted, we aim to respond to our users within 24 hours notifying them of reasonable timelines. Talk to Shaz does not tolerate any form of bullying, harassment, racism, homophobia and/or any other forms of discrimination. Reports of this nature trigger an automatic investigation and users who portray any of these behaviours will be banned from the app permanently. 

What happens if I report a user?

If you report a user for abusive behaviour, Talk to Shaz automatically blocks the user on your behalf and an investigation is opened. A member of our team will be in touch for further details within 24 hours. The reporting icon is available on the top right hand corner of all chats.

Can I block a user?

Yes- the block button is available next to all user chats.  

Why can I not disclose my personal details?

Talk to Shaz is a pseudo-anonymous chat app, therefore we ask users NOT to give out personal  information. The app is a safe space, where users can feel comfortable disclosing anything they may be struggling with and we believe that anonymising themselves will encourage the feeling of safety.

I have messaged a user a few times and they haven't replied, what shall I do?

There may be times when a user doesn't feel like using the app or communicating with anyone for numerous reasons, which may be negative or positve. Talk to Shaz is a long-term chat app, therefore there may be times when users respond after weeks or months. We encourage our users to use the app whenever they feel like it. 

Can I still use the app and not be contacted by new users?

Yes- you can disable the feature "Allow users to contact me", which can be found on your profile page under "edit your profile". 

Can I create a group chat with numerous users?

No- Talk to Shaz is a one on one user chat app. Enabling the option of having group chats creates a social presence on the app, which negates our purpose and mission. 

How can I submit onto the Safe Space?

Please submit your content via the submit form under the TTS menu. Your content will be checked and filtered through to ensure it is in line with our policies. It will then be published to our Safe Space.
